Our vision: to change the world

There's no doubt that it's just plain cool and fun to be in a rock band—but that as an end to itself is meaningless and empty. It lacks the level of purpose and value that I think we all strive for—to lead out a life that has value, meaning and depth to it. Even moreso, to make a difference in the world.

Our purpose as Crash Effect is simply this: to make a crash effect in the world around us. One of the ways that we will accomplish this goal is to give a minimum of 10% of our gross earnings and contribute them to humanitarian charities like Unicef, Oxfam America, Invisible Children, and others. Those dollars are donated for specific efforts, that we could see tangible results from our donations—peace of mind that our money is being used to help the world's most neediest people.

One of the charities we work with is Unicef, a non-profit that has a great deal of buying power and can make our donation dollars stretch far. Here's a snapshot of what our donations are enabling Unicef to provide:

Medicines

Water supplies

Food Suppliments

Emergency Supplies and Shelter

Changing our world is an attainable reality

When we see how simple it is to provide such basic things for so little, we're further compelled to do our part. If we're able to sell just 50 of our EP's for $5.00 US, we know we can provide immunizations for 50 children against measles and rubella; just 176 EP's sold will provide vaccinations for five children (for life). That's huge.

We know making an impact around the world is not impossible; and when we all work together, we can all change the lives of people across the globe. It's quite possible. In fact, it's more than possible, it's probable and attainable.

So don't just buy one EP, buy three and give two to your friends. Come to the shows and pay the cover charge without reservation. Call up your local indie-friendly radio stations and pester them to play a cut from our latest EP. Even royalties from airplay counts...10% of that goes right into charity.

We need your support and would love for you to feel the same degree of satisfaction, knowing that your money didn't just pay for a CD or entrance into a show. Your money went in part to change the life of someone in another part of the world. That's exciting!
